A Stunning London Wedding

Joseph and Louisa were looking for music options for their wedding at London’s Kew Gardens. They wanted music to accompany the ceremony, over the drinks reception on the lawns and then for after dinner dancing in the evening.

We provided the guitarist from the evening party band for the ceremony to play some specially selected songs by the bride and groom on acoustic guitar.

We then arranged for the saxophone and bass player from the evening band to arrive earlier and perform a set of lovely relaxed background jazz music on the lawn on saxophone and double bass. All acoustic so nothing had to be plugged in!

During the drinks reception, The Last Dynasty Band were setting up in the Orangery (in a very quick time allocation we were given due to Kew being a public venue) so we were set up ready by the time the guests arrived for the wedding breakfast. We then performed the first dance followed by two high energy sets of dancing music til Midnight.

Special requirements of event:

Reception music on the lawn was not allowed any amplification as per the venues rules so we provided an acoustic duo.

The Orangery has a very tight set up time due to it being open to the public just before events, we were able to adhere to this due to Seducebands PA system being pre set so that we do not require long sound checks.

The Orangery is as expected surrounded in glass windows which doesnt make for the best acoustics for a live band, Seducebands can always work with these kind of tricky sound restrictions due to having state of the art in ear monitoring for singers and instruments which means the only sound you hear are the front of house speakers that the audience hears and no added ‘on stage’ sound too.

The clients said:

“I don't know what to say! You all were incredible, from the guitar to the Jazz, to the full band. it was absolutely amazing. People were raving about you! Thank you so so much!
