The Perfect English Country Wedding
Steven and Lucy were having a big wedding party in the stunning grounds of Duncton Mill Fishery in Surrey in the summer. They wanted some fun outdoor music entertainment during the drinks reception which could be totally acoustic (as no power source available) and carry in a large outdoor area, they also wanted a wow factor band for after dinner dancing.
We provided an uplifting and fun ‘New Orleans’ style brass band to play for the outdoor reception - this consisted of saxophone, drums and trumpet (from the main evening band) adding on sousaphone and trombone for an authentic ‘street festival’ sound.
During this time, the rest of Seduce Party Band were setting up in the marquee ready for an 8 piece line up after the meal - this featured our usual 6 piece band adding own trumpet (which turns our saxophone into a mini brass section) and funky percussion. We performed the first dance and then 2 sets of party music incorporating lots of the couple’s own requests until 1am. We also provided a Seduce DJ set up for in between sets to keep the momentum on the dance floor throughout the night.
Special requirements of event:
Reception music outdoors had to be totally acoustic as no power source available, but had to carry in a large area. We therefore provided a 5 piece brass band for maximum sound and fun!
The couple had a large fireworks display so we had to make sure our sets could coincide with this perfectly and work with the other suppliers on the event to ensure it all ran smoothly.
