Music Festival in a Day
We were approached by an entertainment agency who were organising the entertainment for a corporate team building day around a ‘festival in a day’ theme. As part of the day time events they wanted a band to run ‘bandaoke’ workshops for small groups learning songs which would then be performed for the rest of the guests with live band. They would then need the band to perform for the workshop ‘sharing’ at the end of the day and following this to perform a set of party classics for the party as the festival ‘headline act’
We were able to provide the lead female singer and the pianist from Seduce Party Band to be at the event all day. They are highly experienced in giving music workshops of various styles so provided the bandaoke workshops learning a total of 4 classic ‘festival’ style songs throughout the day.
The other members of The Last Dynasty Band then arrived for the final rehearsal with each of the workshop groups so they could practice their songs with the live band, and then perform them at the event sharing at the end of the day.
Following this, The Last Dynasty party band performed a back to back set of party classics for the evening party before the guests were taken back to their accommodation.
Special requirements of event:
This event required some musicians to lead the workshops and so this would only have worked with people experienced in doing this - Seducebands pool of musicians includes several highly experienced musicians who can lead various singing and music workshop sessions like this.
The client wanted to choose which songs would be learnt as part of the bandaoke workshops, so we had to provide a list of suitable songs and then learn the ones that were chosen as some of them were not already part of our repertoire.
We had to deal with tricky logistics of band set up as the workshops were happening throughout the day in the same area that the band would be set up in for the evening party, this had to be careful coordinated so that it all could be done quickly and efficiently around the rest of the event.
The agency said:
“Thanks so much for all your hard work on the bankdaoke, everything was great as always!!”
